We're pleased to announce that our series of Lunchtime Recitals at St Clement's begins in October, with another exciting programme of a wide range of performers and ensembles. This term introduces a number of new soloists making their debut at St Clement's, as well as a new early music group, The Maestral Ensemble.
The Erasmus Chamber Choir is back with an intimate programme of Renaissance music accompanied by the Cambridge University Consort of Viols, as is the Cambridge University Recorder Ensemble playing music from the Slavonic tradition. The St Clement's Players make two appearances, including an orchestral concert of Mozart and Schubert (with soloist Chloë Gamlin), and they round off this term's series with a performance of Part I of Handel's Messiah, with St Clement's Choir and friends.
Full details of the recitals can be found on our website:
http://www.stclementscambridge.org/recitals.html,
and we'll be posting about each recital on our website and social media on a weekly basis. All our recitals are free to attend, taking place on Saturday Lunchtimes at 1pm. A retiring collection is taken which contributes to the running costs of the recital series, and continues to raise money for our ongoing Organ Redevelopment Fund at St Clement's. We hope to see many of you there!
