Taizé service for Eastertide: Fri 10th May, 7.30pm

We hope you can join us for our first Taizé service of this term, this coming Friday evening, as we celebrate a service for Eastertide at St Clement's. As always there will be prayer, readings, Taizé chants and silence, and everyone is welcome to this peaceful, meditative service. The service begins at 7.30pm, and we hope to see you there!

Lunchtime Recitals: Summer 2019

We're excited to announce our  Lunchtime Recital series for summer 2019 at St Clement's! Beginning on Saturday 11th May, we're looking forward to ten weeks of incredible music, ranging from fantastic solo performers, to popular returning chamber groups and larger ensembles.

Entry to all recitals is free, with a retiring collection taken that supports the recitalists each week, and also contributes to our Organ Redevelopment Fund at St Clement's. Journey to the Cross: Sun 7th Apr, 5.00pm

Our final choral service before Easter takes place this Sunday evening. "Journey to the Cross" is a sequence of music, Bible readings, poetry and silence, meditating on Christ's journey from the Garden of Gethsemane to his crucifixion and death.

The choir will be singing excerpt's from John Stainer's Crucifixion, and poetry will include texts by Edwin Muir, Denise Letrov and Clive Sansom. The service begins at 5.00pm, and all are welcome. We hope you can join us.


Taizé Eucharist: Fri 5th April, 7.30pm

Our final Taizé service before Easter is this Friday evening. We will be celebrating a Eucharist in anticipation of Passiontide, with prayers, readings, chants and reflective silence by candlelight.

We hope you can join us. The service begins at 7.30pm and all are welcome.

Wed 6th March, 7.30pm - Choral Eucharist for Ash Wednesday

Join us this Wednesday evening for a choral service as we mark the start of Lent. The service will follow a traditional prayer book Eucharist, together with the imposition of ashes. Joined by the Orlando Singers, the choir will be singing Byrd's Mass for Four Voices, alongside music by Palestrina, and reflective psalms and plainsong.

The service begins at 7.30pm, and all are welcome. We hope to see you there.

Sat 2nd March: tick tock performance ensemble (recital)

In the last concert in this term's series, we're delighted to be hosting the tick tock performance ensemble in a joint recital with the Cambridge Female Composers Festival. Directed by Sasha Amaya and Naomi Woo, they will be presenting a diverse programme of sung music by female composers ranging from the 11th century to the present day.

The recital begins at 1.00pm, and as ever, entry to the recital series is free. This week, a retiring collection will be taken in support of the Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre, as well as continuing to contribute to the Organ Redevelopment Fund at St Clement's. All are welcome, we hope to see you there!

Sat 23rd Feb: Baroque virtuosi (recital)

As we approach the end of this term's series, we're pleased to welcome back the Erasmus Chamber Ensemble, with a trio of baroque pieces showcasing some talented soloists. Directed by Dan Tidhar at the harpsichord, they will be performing concerti by Bach and Vivaldi, as well as a cantata by Telemann.

The recital begins at 1.00pm, and as ever, entry to the recital series is free, with a retiring collection supporting our recitalists, and also contributing to our Organ Redevelopment Fund. All are welcome, we hope to see you there!
