Sat 29th June: Music for a summer's lunchtime, the Orlando Singers (recital)

We invite you to join our recital this week, where we're pleased to welcome back the Orlando Singers to St Clement's. Directed by Brian Watkins, they will be performing a selection of choral music ranging from well-known Elgar part songs and Palestrina motets, paired with some rarely performed and exquisite Renaissance madrigals and folk songs from Spain.

The recital begins at 1.00pm, and as ever entry to the recitals is free, with a retiring collection taken to support our performers, as well as to contribute to the ongoing Organ Redevelopment Fund. We hope to see you there!

Sat 22nd June: Beethoven and Wagner, St Clement's Players with Laura Rickard (recital)

This Saturday we're excited to welcome back the St Clement's Players, in an orchestral delight of Beethoven and Wagner. They will be joined by violinist Laura Rickard for Beethoven's fiery Violin Concerto in D major, after playing Wagner's beautiful symphonic poem Siegfried Idyll, both under the direction of Karol Jaworski.

Taizé Eucharist for Pentecost: Fri 14th June, 8.30pm

We hope you can join us this Friday evening for a Taizé Eucharist in the Octave of Pentecost. In summer we start at the slightly later time of 8.30pm, and as always there will be readings, prayer, chants and silence. All are welcome!

Sat 15th June - Duets for violin and 'cello (recital)

This Saturday we're pleased to welcome two newcomers to our series, violinist Krassimira Jelizakova-Jones and 'cellist Veronica Henderson. Both are experienced chamber musicians, performing in Cambridge and further afield, and are looking forward to presenting their programme at St Clement's. They will be playing a number of duets by Bach, Rolla and Halvorsen.

Sat 8th June: Buxtehude - Membra Jesu Nostri (recital)

Returning again to our recital series, we're pleased to welcome the Erasmus Chamber Choir and Ensemble this Saturday. Directed by Julian Merson, with past solo recitalist Dan Tidhar playing continuo, they will will be performing Buxtehude's incredible Membra Jesu Nostri. The work is a setting of an ancient hymn addressing different parts of Christ's crucified body.
